How long does a roof replacement take?
Most single-family homes in the Denver metro take one to two days: tear-off and dry-in the first day, shingle installation and cleanup the second. Larger homes, steep pitches, decking repairs, or material upgrades like metal can extend that to three or four days. You'll get a schedule with your quote, and we don't open more roof than we can dry-in the same day — afternoon storms here are a scheduling fact, not a surprise.
Do I need to leave my house while the roof is replaced?
No. Most families stay home. Expect real noise — tear-off overhead sounds dramatic — and plan for pets who dislike thumping. We ask that you move cars out of the driveway (falling debris zone and our dump trailer needs the spot) and take fragile items off shelves on upper floors, since hammering can vibrate walls.
How do I know if my roof has hail damage?
From the ground, look for dented gutters or downspouts, damaged window screens, and granules piling below downspout outlets — those are strong indicators the shingles took hits too. Actual shingle bruising is usually invisible from the ground, which is why we chalk-mark and photograph every strike during a free inspection. Don't climb the roof yourself; hail-bruised shingles are also slippery shingles.
